A New Direction...

I have had an overwhelming amount of requests over the last few years asking me to share ALL of my personal creations, not just the accessories I sell. Personally, I enjoy seeing the artistic process, learning tips and basic instruction about how something was made. I think that is why I LOVE Pinterest so much! Reading blogs about how other creative minds develop and finish their creative endeavors makes my heart happy! Others inspire and encourage me to not only dream up the things I love making...but to actually begin AND finish them! We need to celebrate our creative accomplishments!

With the support of fellow friend bloggers, I have been encouraged to branch out of just sharing the jewelry I am making, but also the decor/visual display, flower arranging, baby projects, organization, and "trash to treasure" revamping, that I do in my spare time. I will be blogging about my process, in addition to the finished product. Another high demand area of interest has always been Etsy tips, so I will be blogging that information as well.  I would love your feedback on what you would like to see or learn about. It's a Girl!

As many of you may know, I have been off the blog map for a while because...I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Ellie Kate! She just turned 2 months old, and I am now back in the studio, designing again, with a new found creativity and appreciation for life. How magical it is to have your first baby!

I had a tiny break from making jewelry last week. I was able to help a local flower shop design Mother's Day and Prom flowers. I often feel as though my same love and skills of being a jewelry designer carry over into the floral world.  The same use of color, texture, and placement apply to both areas.  It's a fun change to be around all the beautiful smells and organic nature of the flowers.  Beads just don't smell as good at peonies...  

Now I'm back in the studio, making jewelry to prepare for a Baby Fair and Farmers Market I will be doing in a couple of weeks. The creative juices are flowing after a getting a new stash of antique beads. However, I think the pale pink tulips sitting on my work bench are also making me feel inspired! It feels like springtime in Bend today and I have a little piece of nature beside me even though I am working indoors.   Note to self: Think about setting up a summer outdoor jewelry studio.

Holiday Open Houses!

Thank's a million times over to everyone who made it to my Holiday Open Houses both in Oregon and California! It was wonderful to see everyone trying on things, laughing, and having a great time. I have the best customers around!
